I am pleased to announce I have now finished producing my first solo single in too long a time! Hurray!
Although I have been unable to perform concerts this week due to a bad lingering cold, it has, however, given me the opportunity to concentrate on completing the song, designing the accompanying artwork, and uploading all onto my new music page, http://phoenixj.bandcamp.com/.
The lead vocals were laid down several weeks ago, but I must admit I’ve been quite rusty in the discipline of arranging, composing and recording the music. I also found out I needed to painfully croak out some additional backing vocals. Up until yesterday, I was still missing a vital “ingredient” to make it complete. There was even a point when I got tempted by new sounds from new equipment and was going off target again… (read my Music story). I am therefore so glad to have now gone over my first hurdles and finished this race. I have stayed focused!
And so, in the spirit of the season, I would like to share this song as a special FREE download, although any donation would be greatly appreciated. And of course I hope you would tell your friends about me and my Christmas song.
