I first heard of Ke$ha when a fan sent me a request to play a song by her. After listening through some of her albums which are mostly club music, I came across her “Deconstructed” album. With a title like that, you may expect to hear industrial sounds maybe… But wow, I was blown away by the stripped down acoustic treatment of the songs there which particularly highlighted her strong vocals that emoted poignantly in places.
Here’s my piano-vocal rendition of her song Past Lives. I performed this live during a Concert Window web broadcast. Thanks Menni for requesting her song and putting me on to an artist I may not otherwise have discovered.
