Since my last update in March, I’ve been pretty busy.. most of my updates took place on Facebook, so I’ve been remiss-ed on my own webpage! So sorry!
In summary…
1) On the last week of April, I played a rather enjoyable and successful web concert on Concert Window during my Happy Monthly Monday session. Here’s a YouTube clip from it, though it was first uploaded and shared on Facebook by a fan from Germany.
2) More fun continued into May with some great gigs with the Monte Dons.. (by the way, the band now has a brand spanking new website! Please check it out!), including the Ross on Wye May Fayre and Yew Tree. In between were two video webcast gigs, one on NMB Live Songwriters Series and the other on Concert Window. With me was Anthony Lewis, band mate and lead vocalist with Monte Dons. Together, we made up the Micro Dons and played some impromptu music on air together! Check out the videos here: https://www.facebook.com/phoenixjmusic/videos.
3) May fun ended with a high when I met up with several Second Life musicians and fans at the London Jam 2015 on the last May bank holiday weekend. Photos and videos on the London Jam group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/405492782867434/
4) June just saw a gig at Nag’s Head with the Monte Dons. Two more shows with the band forthcoming on the last two Saturdays of the month (https://www.facebook.com/montedonsmusic/events).
I’ll also be back on my Monthly Monday Concert Window session on Monday 22nd June. On Tue 23rd June, I’ll be joining the Songwriters’ Series on NMB Live.
Finally, having now been broadcasting live Interweb concerts in Second Life (SL) since 2008, I’m delighted to have been invited this year to be a part of the first Linden Lab sponsored SL Birthday Fest. Along with 15 other musicians over two days to celebrate SL’s 12th birthday, I’ll be broadcasting my half hour set on Friday 26th June at 2.30pm PT (10.30pm UK).
Hope to see you soon, somewhere out there!
For more gig specifics, please check my calendar.
Til the next update, have a great one!
