Phoenix J – Feb/April/May/June 2016 Updates

For more frequent updates, please follow me on twitter.com/phoenix_j or facebook.com/phoenixjmusic. Here’s a summary of things that have been and things to come.

Enjoy the latest live online concert video. The song is called Cry, requested by Calle, one of my long time loyal fans since Binary Star days in the late 90s. The original pop release was part of my second album “Junkk – Music for the Soul (2002) “. If you like this stripped down rendition, please share! Thank you! x

I have continued broadcasting live concerts on the internet. The shows are mostly free, and all are welcome to tune in. Radio shows can be tuned in on any audio media player, such as iTunes or Windows Media, whilst video concerts can be viewed on any Internet browser on your PC, tablet or smart phone/TV. AND you can join in the live chat! You will need Internet for both platforms. Check details, times and date on my calendar. It can be as fun, informal and as interactive as you like, even if it is just to listen in peace and quiet. 🙂 I’d always love to have you, as would also love to hear from you.

Phoenix J at De Koffie Pot 1Spring started fabulously with a terrestrial gig at De Koffie Pot of Left Bank in Hereford on the first week of May. The audience’s warmth, receptiveness, appreciation and rapt attention made it one of the nicest shows I’ve ever done! What’s more, I got to sing with my two Border Collie stars providing some additional calming entertainment at the homely venue. You can view some photos on my facebook page. The host, Wild Hare Club for De Koffie Pot, has given a lovely review: “Amazing voice, great piano and deft & sensitive arrangements.” Thank you Wild Hare Club! I hope to play at the Left Bank again at some point!

Meanwhile, I have some new dates coming up for your diary! Updated details can be viewed on my calendar, or subscribe to my facebook events.

Mon 25th July, 8pm, Three Horse Shoes, Monmouth Festival

I hope to see you at one or all of the events!

Back in February, I was chuffed to have a couple of opportunities to play short sets in my birth country Singapore, including a two song piano vocal tribute to the late David Bowie, as part of the line up for a nationally covered event called ConTribute Bowie. Additionally, I had the lovely local muso  Ko Sherman to guest with me on my set for Come Out To Play. We had just the previous evening to run through the half hour set of mostly original songs. The greatest respect to Ko for being a fast learning and an intuitive violin player and flutist, with no sheet music or chord charts to guide him! Thank you Ko for coming out to play with me! x

Both events took place at the acclaimed venue for the arts called Artistry. Both great times! Here are some photos. Thank you Artistry for the memories!
